How To Identify Spiders In Your Home

spider

Spiders can be a creepy addition to your home, but they can also be helpful in getting rid of other pests. If you think you have spiders in your home, there are a few ways to identify them.

Signs That Spiders Are Living In Your Home

First, look for webs. Spiders build webs to catch their prey, so if you see webs around your home, it’s a good indication that there are spiders present.

Second, look for egg sacs. Egg sacs are often found in webs, and they contain the spider’s eggs.

Third, look for shed skin. As spiders grow, they shed their skin. So, if you see shed skin around your home, it’s another good indication that there are spiders present.

If you see any of these signs, it’s a good idea to call a pest control professional to get rid of the spiders. Spiders can be dangerous, and it’s best to leave them to professionals.

Common Spider Species Found In Homes

There are a few common spider species that are known to live in homes around the United States. These include the black widow spider, the brown recluse spider, and the hobo spider.

Black Widow Spider

The black widow spider is one of the most dangerous spiders in the world. They are usually black with a red hourglass shape on their abdomen. If you think you have seen a black widow spider, it’s important to call a pest control professional right away.

Brown Recluse Spider

The brown recluse spider is another dangerous spider. They are usually brown with a dark brown violin shape on their back. If you think you have seen a brown recluse spider, it’s also important to call a pest control professional right away.

Hobo Spider

The hobo spider is not as dangerous as the black widow or brown recluse, but they can still bite. They are usually brown or gray with a chevron shape on their back. If you think you have seen a hobo spider, it’s a good idea to call a pest control professional to get rid of them.
